I mainly focus on supporting those that feel more comfortable with a woman in their home, such as the elderly or neurodiverse customers in my building work. I’m always looking for ways to give back and support those in need.

Educating

Utilising the skills I am trained in

I am a skilled part time female builder, who specialises in tiling, plastering and painting. I can offer Guest Lecturing for Initial Teacher Training, Early Career Teacher Training and run National Post Qualifications. I am a single parent and mother of two boys. I know the importance of hard work, good time keeping, being organised, being professional, being kind and having a strong work ethic and determination to get a job done!

I take great pride in smaller jobs that you know you can do but either lack the time, tools or knowledge from achieving this. I have been involved in charitable projects and to work with minority and disadvantaged people to help them achieve their own dreams and goals.

I am always looking for opportunities to connect and collaborate with other local builders, particularly those who share my commitment to working for charitable projects, diversity and inclusion. I am a Beyond Barriers mentor and will be taking on mentees this year.

Do you provide materials?

I do not provide materials. I want to focus on completing a job for you and I ask that you already source these prior to me coming in to do the job for you. I am happy to advise you on what you need to buy and get.

I am a builder/educator and would like to collaborate - how can I reach out?

Please reach out to me via my known network through LinkedIn or through a known recommendation and then we can discuss how we can form a collaboration, if you are looking to support clients/students that want a female in their home/setting or you want me to come and complete smaller jobs after you/teach.

I am a member of a charity - would you be open to working together?

I would love to work for a charity or organisation close to my heart. I am actively seeking charities that want females, people of colour or LGBTQIA+ representatives.

I am a school, college or higher education provider - what do you offer?

I offer to speak to students about my LGBTQIA+ journey, my building journey or I can impart my teaching knowledge as a guest lecturer or educational speaker.

What is included in your price?

My price includes petrol, ULEZ charges, my skills, knowledge, tools and expertise for the day. I do not include materials or VAT in my estimate. My daily rate varies on the trade (plastering, tiling, painting or educating).
